Peru: Spring Break 2013

Imagine your child interpreting for you at a village market, translating the train schedule for your trip to Machu Picchu, ordering your meal for you in Spanish.

In the spring of 2010, The Language Link took a group of advanced level Spanish students and their parents to Cusco and Ollantaytambo, Peru. In preparation for the trip, the students studied the culture and geography of Peru and connected with Peruvian students in both cities. During spring break The Language Link students and parents went to Peru to meet their study partners, advance their language skills, experience Peruvian culture and learn of its history. As the Peruvian and Seattle students played together and worked in the school garden, both built new perspectives of the world and made life expanding connections.

The Language Link again invites advanced students and their parents to journey to a culture and language they have come to know through their studies during spring break 2013.
